When you open this website, your browser transmits technically required data to the server that delivers the pages:

• IP address
• date and time of access
• page requested and amount of data transferred
• referrer URL (the page visited before)
• browser and operating system

This data is used solely to deliver the website, keep it secure and fix faults. We do not combine it with other data and do not analyse it on a personal level.

The website is delivered by Vercel Inc. (440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA) through its global network (hosting and content delivery). Vercel processes the connection data on our behalf, including in data centres outside Switzerland.

Fonts, images and scripts of this website are served from our own servers. No data is sent to third-party font, map or video services when you visit.

Without your consent, we do not set any cookies for analytics or advertising. The only thing stored is your choice in the cookie banner, locally in your browser (local storage, entry “bx-consent” with your choice and the time). This is technically necessary so that the banner does not appear on every visit. We ask again after twelve months.

If you consent to statistics in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) and Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA).

Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga and _ga_ with an identifier) and records pseudonymously how the website is used: pages viewed, time spent, where the visit came from, device and browser details and the approximate location. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. This website does not grant consent for advertising purposes (ad storage, personalised advertising).

We use the reports to improve the website. The data is kept for no more than 14 months, the cookies expire after two years at most. Data may be transferred to the USA (see section 7).

Without your consent, Google Analytics is not loaded. If you withdraw your consent, we delete the analytics cookies in your browser. More on privacy at Google: policies.google.com/privacy

The contact form on this website does not send anything to our servers. It opens your email program with a prepared message that you send yourself.

When you write to us, we process your details, such as name, company, email address, phone number and the content of your message, to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to handle an offer or an assignment. Our emails are hosted by Infomaniak Network SA in Geneva (Switzerland).

We keep the correspondence for as long as your enquiry requires and beyond that where statutory retention obligations apply.

This website links to the websites of our partners, to our profile on LinkedIn and, for directions, to Google Maps. These are plain links: data is only transferred when you click a link. The privacy policies of the respective providers apply to the pages you open.

We do not sell personal data. We only pass it on to service providers that process it on our behalf (Vercel to deliver the website, Google for statistics with your consent, Infomaniak for email) or where we are legally obliged to do so.

Vercel and Google may also process data in the USA. Both companies are certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the Swiss Federal Council has recognised an adequate level of data protection. Where necessary, we additionally rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses.

The website is delivered exclusively over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

You can at any time request information about the personal data we process about you, have incorrect data corrected and data deleted, object to the processing, withdraw any consent given with effect for the future and request your data in a common electronic format. Please write to info@brentex.ch. To prevent misuse, we may ask for proof of identity.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (www.edoeb.admin.ch). People in the EU or EEA can also contact the data protection authority of their country.

Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR: Google Analytics), to prepare and perform contracts (point (b): enquiries and assignments), to comply with legal obligations (point (c): retention) and based on our legitimate interest in a secure and working website (point (f): delivery and server logs).

We update this privacy policy when the website or the services used change. The version published here applies.
